Product Details
Class III/IV hitches are Weight Carrying (WC) and also are Weight Distributing (WD) hitches depending on the vehicle and hitch specifications. Not all Class III/IV hitches are rated to do both. Please see the Specifications tab above for the weight carrying and weight distributing ratings (if applicable) for this hitch.
In order to use a hitch to its maximum weight carrying capacity, a ball mount and hitch ball of the same rating or higher is required. To use the weight distribution side of the hitch, a weight distribution system is required. All of these items are sold separately. Class III/IV hitches attach primarily to the vehicle frame. Always consult your owner's manual to determine your vehicle's maximum towing capacity.

I bought this for my 2014 Chrysler Town ...I bought this for my 2014 Chrysler Town & Country Van. Shipping was very quick. It was wrapped sufficiently for metal Hitch Receiver. This Curt brand Hitch Receiver was made very well, all of the holes lined up fine. Instructions were fine. The problem that I had was that even after loosening the muffler hanger, the muffler was directly inline with the 18mm socket. I had to use a 2x2 to pry it to the side and down to remove the bolt, and I was fortunate to have an air impact driver to remove the bolts, which are only five years old, not rusty yet.....reinstalling the passenger side was twice as difficult, and NO , I didn't use the impact driver. Now that It's installed, I'm happy with it. I would advise that two persons install it. In the garage , I used a floor jack to raise the hitch up to the body and bolt it to the van frame.
